Frequently Asked Questions
Shipping
Where do you ship?
We ship internationally. All orders include tracking and insurance for your peace of mind.
How are originals shipped?
Original artwork is carefully packaged with protective materials and shipped insured. You'll receive tracking information as soon as your order ships.
How are prints shipped?
Prints ship matted and ready to frame, protected in rigid mailers to prevent bending. Larger prints may ship in tubes.
Framing
Why don't you include frames?
We don't include frames because we believe the frame should complement both the art and your space. With countless frame styles, colors, and materials available, you're best positioned to choose the perfect frame that matches your home's aesthetic.
Where should I get my artwork framed?
Your local frame shop can help you find the ideal match. They can advise on mat colors, frame styles, and glazing options (UV-protective glass is recommended for pieces displayed in bright spaces).
What about the wall preview on your site?
The wall preview tool lets you experiment with different frame styles and see how the piece might look in your space—it's a visualization tool to help you plan, not a reflection of what ships with your order.
Originals vs. Prints
What's the difference?
Originals are one-of-a-kind pieces created by hand—the actual artwork Kate made. Once sold, they're gone forever.
Prints are high-quality giclée reproductions on archival paper, capturing every detail of the original. They're a beautiful way to own the art at a more accessible price point.
Are prints signed?
Yes, prints are signed by the artist.
What about canvas originals and matting?
Canvas originals are sold unmatted—they're meant to be displayed as-is or framed without a mat. Prints on paper ship matted and ready for framing.
Print Quality
What kind of paper do you use?
All prints are produced on archival-quality, acid-free paper designed to last generations without fading or yellowing.
What about the inks?
We use pigment-based inks (not dye-based) for exceptional longevity and color accuracy. These inks are rated to last 100+ years under proper display conditions.
Caring for Your Artwork
How should I display my artwork?
Avoid direct sunlight, which can cause fading over time. If displaying in a bright room, consider UV-protective glass or acrylic when framing.
How do I clean my artwork?
For framed pieces, gently dust the glass with a soft, dry cloth. Never spray cleaning products directly on the glass—spray the cloth first. For unframed originals, avoid touching the surface and consult a professional conservator if cleaning is needed.
Returns & Issues
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please contact us immediately with photos of the damage. All shipments are insured, and we'll work with you to resolve the issue—whether that means a replacement or refund.
Can I return my order?
Due to the unique nature of original artwork, all sales of originals are final. For prints, please contact us within 14 days if you're not completely satisfied.
